LIRNE researchers move to CMI at Aalborg University

 

CMI - LogoLIRNE.NET researchers from the Center for ICT at the Danish Technical University have recently moved to the Center for Communication, Media and Information Technologies (CMI) at Aalborg University. CMI will join the other LIRNE centres in Europe with researchers continuing their participation in LIRNE research, events and South-North dialogue, from their new home.

The overall aim for CMI research is to provide and investigate the basis for new ICT applications; to analyse and develop ICT applications and the framework and strategies for their implementation. In addition, it also analyses and suggests policies and regulation related to emerging ICT applications including economic, social and cultural implications of their introduction. The overall objective of the center is to provide expertise and competencies to help private firms and public institutions solve the new problems and exploit the new opportunities presented by the development of ICTs. CMI provides a focal point for multi-disciplinary research and teaching in applications of ICT.
