The European centres participating in LIRNE are:

Claire Milne’s prospective activities with relevance to LIRNE include:
- Participation in assembly of infoDev Regulatory Toolkit for Universal Access (led by Intelecon Research; target completion spring 2008);
- Development of a paper summarising existing work of relevance to a satisfactory theoretical framework for affordability, with the longer term aim of a joint contribution in this area with Roxana Barrantes (of the DIRSI network).
Robin Mansell’s contributions to LIRNE.NET will be primarily via PhD students:
- Dorothea Kleine – Critical approaches to ICTs in development contexts with a special focus on Chile;
- Iginio Gagliardone – Political perspectives on states, governance and ICTs – case studies from Africa
David Souter has just joined LSE will also be developing work of relevance to LIRNE.NET.
