Network

LIRNE.NET has regional centres and strategic partners in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe.

In Africa we work with the LINK Centre at the University of Witswatersrand and Research ICT Africa! (RIA). LINK is Southern Africa’s leading research and training body in the field of ICT policy, regulation and management and RIA

LIRNEasia was launched in September 2004 under the leadership of Professor Rohan Samarajiva. Located in Sri Lanka, LIRNEasia functions as a regional organization with active participation from colleagues located in other Asian countries.

In Latin America our partners are Comunica and the Regional Dialogue on the Information Society (DIRSI - Diálogo Regional sobre Sociedad de la Información) . Comunica provides global coordination of the network, runs LIRNE’s publications program and coordinates the World Dialogue on Regulation and DIRSI is a network of professionals and research institutions.

LIRNE.NET’s European partners are the Center for Communication, Media and Information Technologies (CMI) at Aalborg University; The Center for Information and Communication Technologies (CICT), at the Technical University of Denmark; The Economics of Infrastructures Section, at Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands; and The Media@Ise Programme at the London School of Economics.
